New Showroom: Naas Road

New showroom Naas Road

New Showroom, Naas Road

We are beyond delighted to announce that Sheds Direct Ireland will be opening a new location on the Naas Road in Dublin!

This site will serve as a larger display area for our products, so that you’ll be able to see more of our large (and growing) collection of sheds for sale there. The branch will be opening on June 28th. On the day, we will have goodies to give out, spot-prizes, as well as a selection of steel and wooden sheds, greenhouses, garden products and a whole lot more to see and interact with. Why not pop down and see it for yourself?

Below you can see the site before the redevelopment began and then what it looked like, just a few days ago.

The Address

The new location on the Naas Road is on the grounds of the old Baldonnel Garden Centre. It’s just a 3 minute drive from exit 9 on the M50, past Bill Griffin Motors on the Naas Road/N7. It’s between exits 2 and 3. If you’re looking for us before you leave, The Eircode is D22 PK59, or you can see it on Google Maps here.

For Drivers

On the N7, after exit 2, you’ll see the sign for Bill Griffin Motors. You should be in the leftmost lane by the time you see this!

You’ll come up quickly to the site after this, however, there is a large tree that is obstructing a view of the site, so be prepared for this. Below, you can see the entrance.

Designed by Trevor Kinsella

Shed design is a strong suit of ours – designing large showroom site? Not so much. For this, we brought in the excellent Trevor Kinsella. He undertook this huge task and made it into a beautiful reality. The space is all the better for his involvement; from the clever walkways to the placements of the products to suit customers, staff and passing traffic on the road, every detail was considered from all angles. The only thing that he had no involvement in – and I’m sure he’ll have no problem with me saying it, was the giant Giraffe, ‘Griffy’.

The astro-turf Giraffe can be seen along the Naas Road. He’s a focal point for people looking to find us – and a bit of interest on an otherwise fairly dull road! He’s not only a friendly face, he’s an example of the new artificial grass that we are selling too. We’ve got a lot more of this fake grass throughout the showroom, and it’s displayed in a way to show you what can be done with this versatile product.

New Products

Speaking of which, the display area will be host to all the great steel and wooden sheds that you’re used to, but it will also home to some new Sheds Direct Ireland products, including:

  • Our Premium Woodgrain Sheds
  • Fencing
  • Gazebos
  • Artificial Grass
  • Bridges
  • Playhouses and Swing-sets
  • and lots more!

These will all be featured on this, dare I say, beautiful website in time, but at launch, they can only be viewed at the Naas Road display area. Check some of these beauties out in this Youtube Short here:

Pollinating plants

In keeping with the heritage of the site, Trevor has added lots of pollinators to the showroom. These are currently teeming with bumblebees, pollinating flies and other little creatures that are helping out the local eco system.

Why are all the plants slightly chewed?

The plants have been chewed? This is the first that I’m hearing about it, let me ch… Monty, noooooo!

Okay, eh, ahem, these stylish speed-holes added by our hands-on landscape gardener add not only a touch of beauty to the site, but much needed portals through the vegetation for the local bees. In this area, we are an innovator.

No Collections from the Naas Road

The Naas Road will be our premium showroom, however we won’t be holding any stock there. While you will be able to order a shed there (with assembly or just flat-packed), you won’t be able to pick up any flat-packed sheds from the site. Instead, all collections will remain from our Finglas Branch (we’ve a big warehouse over here!)

Onwards and Upwards!

Following the launch of our sister store in the North of Ireland, Direct Store 24, things are looking rosey here at Sheds Direct Ireland and none of it would be possible without our fantastic customers. We really want to say thanks for all the continued support, amazing reviews and of course your purchases over the past number of years. It’s amazing to see all your well wishes so far and we hope to see you on the Naas Road, sometime this year! (Come down for a nose, sure. Have a gawk and tell all yer mates!)
