How to change the wick
Our video walks you through exactly how to change the wick on this paraffin heater:
(Just remember to let your wick soak for ≈5 hours before lighting the heater, so that it’s fully saturated in fuel and so that your wick doesn’t burn up.)
Let your wick soak for at least 4-5 hours
Remember, after you’ve installed your new wick, you’ll need to fill your heater with Tozane and allow it to soak for at least 4-5 hours before reigniting it. This is vitally important. It will prevent the wick from burning out prematurely.
Providing that you keep your heater topped up with fuel, you should not need to replace your wick in the future.
Prolong your wick’s life by using Tozane
Tozane is a reliable and clean fuel which is low in aromatics and which burns cleanly. It is ideal for use in paraffin heaters. It is also sulphur-free, odourless and completely recyclable. Avoid using fuels such as lamp oil, bioethanol and kerosene as these will clog up the wick over time and will therefore reduce the heat output.
