Composter (Metal)
This metal composter is a premium quality unit that’s perfect for all your composting needs. It’s environmentally friendly and a great alternative to the plastic options that are currently flooding the market. It’ll last considerably longer than its wooden counterparts and it’s wipe-clean too, making upkeep a doddle.
This compost bin is comprised of 1.5mm aluminium thick frames with powder coating, a twin wall lid with two gas hinges and a compost release door at its front. Its easy to assemble, very durable, absolutely maintenance-free and can hold up to 830L of compost.
It comes with a two piece metal aeration system which is placed inside the compost bin in order to promote airflow and allow your compost to cook efficiently. This system is easily removable if you decide you want to use this unit for something else entirely. Speaking of other uses, a great alternative for this product would be energy storage, such as a turf or wood bin store, keeping your logs safe and dry all winter long. When you’re ready to add a large load, this composter has a gas assisted spring opening lid. Keeping your lid up and in place, making it effortless to drop in a fresh batch whilst preventing accidental closure.
Once your compost is cooked and ready to be removed, you can slide open the compost release door, located at the bottom front of your compost bin.

Why you might need a Composter
There are three main reasons that you might need one:
- You want to make your own compost (duh)
- Brown Bin issues
- Cleaner alternative
1. You want to make your own compost
This is, well, I mean it’s fairly bleedin’ obvious. A composter will let you turn your food waste and more into compost for your garden. As ours facilitates air flow at numerous points, it’s an ideal way to make good compost. The gas-hinged lid means filling it is easy and the access point at the bottom allows access to the good stuff at the bottom.
2. Brown Bin Issues
If you pay per-lift of your brown bin or if you only have one of the half-sizes brown bins, this composter could be a godsend. Pop your composter at the end of the garden and when you’ve got food waste, simply fling it in. No more bin lifts and on top of that you’ve got compost that you can use in the garden or give to your plant-loving friends.
3. Cleaner home
If your food waste bin in the house is beginning to get a bit stinky, or worse festering maggots (eugh), a composter in the back garden will really help you out. No more stinky kitchens or creepy-crawlies. This composter takes your waste and breaks it down naturally
Air Flow
Air flow is vital to any good composter. Your waste will need air and mother nature’s little chaps to get in and break down that waste. Thankfully, our Composter is great at letting air in, while keeping the smell on the outside to a minimum. The internal structure bars have large holes throughout, which allow air to get to every layer of waste in your composter. The gas hinge lid allows for easy access and because it’s slightly raised, it allows airflow in and out too. The easy-access front panel gives access to your freshly formed compost (when it’s ready) and it only opens when you want it to!
