The Mammoth Shed: 8ft x 10ft
The Mammoth Shed is big, burly and completely lined with anti-con felt on the inside. This shed is ideal for keeping things safely stored away, while keeping them dry at the same time. The anti-condensation lining, coupled with the internal, angled-down vents help combat condensation like no other shed in our steel shed range. There are two sizes of Mammoth Shed available – and both are large enough for general storage needs.
This shed comes with a built-in robust polycarbonate window too, so it’ll fill with natural light. It’s an elegant, sleek looking shed but it’s made with premium materials, making it tougher than a €2 steak. Check out all the fine-details below.

The Mammoth Shed is complete with an anti-condensation lining on both the internal walls and roof. It also has built in air vents to allow air-flow throughout the shed, which are both incredible ways to combat condensation in the Irish climate. The Mammoth shed is uniquely equipped to combat condensation and damp. Ireland has after all, essentially a temperate rainforest climate and buildings are liable to condensation during the months with changeable weather.
We also recommend that you:
- Incorporate a damp-proof membrane into your base
- You regularly air out your shed
- and that you do not put white goods into any steel shed
You will have zero issues with condensation if these steps are followed.
The RAL Colour for this shed is RAL 110 70 10, also known as Chinese Tea Green.

The Mammoth Shed is part of our Premium Shed range, and as such it comes with an 8-year rust perforation warranty.

First off, self-assembly is not for everyone. If you struggle keeping your cool with an Ikea product, we can safely say that this is not the product for you to assemble. You will require at least four able-bodied people, a calm day, the appropriate tools and to plan ahead to make this Mammoth shed correctly and efficiently.
Please note that self-assembly is not for everyone and we do not recommend that you even attempt it unless you have sufficient experience with large flat-packed builds and understand these type of instructions.
Flat-packed assembly tips for the Mammoth
- As with all steel sheds, a solid, level base is needed to assemble this shed onto. Concrete, pacing slabs, hardcore stone, our ShedBase etc.
- Squaring out the base is vitally important. If you do not square out the base correctly as per the instructions, you will struggle – and it may be impossible to make the rest of the shed. Do no proceed until your base is squared out.
- In the instructions it is noted that you place w2-29, in order: 1-26. This is very, very important. Start with 1 and work sequentially up to 26; Do not jump ahead. If you go out of sequence, you will run into all manner of issues further down the line.
- Some panels may appear ‘scratched’ or ‘scorched’. However these have a plastic wrap covering them (which protects the sheets in transit). Once this wrap is removed, these marks should instantly disappear.
DO NOT ASSEMBLE THIS SHED ON A DAY WITH HIGH-WINDS
Our Team can assemble the Mammoth shed for you if you do not wish to attempt it yourself. It generally takes them about 2 hours from start to finish. Use the dropdown menus to see the price of assembly in your county.
The team will assemble your shed for you provided that you have a suitable base (see below).
The assembly team do not apply the screw caps or remove the protective plastic film. These are optional and it is the customers’ choice to add/remove these if desired.
The assembly team do not assemble any other products other than the steel shed.
e.g. They do not assembly shelving units, canopies, carts or any other item purchased with the shed.
Please note: Shed assembly is weather permitting. High-winds or other averse weather conditions may lead to shed assembly cancellations.
You will need a solid level base for this shed.
Appropriate bases include:
- Concrete
- Tarmac
- Paving Slabs
- Hardcore Stone
This shed cannot be built onto grass, muck, pallets, incomplete or uneven bases. For more information, read ‘Good Bases for Steel Sheds’

- The Pictured Wooden Floor is not included with flat-packed sheds. Ply flooring only comes with the assembly option.
- You will need a solid, level base for this shed. It cannot be laid on grass alone. Please see our guide on how to choose should you need assistance.
- Sheds are measured externally, i.e. gutter to gutter. Internal floor size will differ from external measurements.
- In very rare instances, the shed may vary +/-10% in size. This is because of the way in which steel is cut.
