The Mammoth Shed: 6ft x 8ft
This is the smaller of the two Mammoth Sheds currently available from Sheds Direct Ireland. Looking for the larger one? Check out the 8ft x 10ft Mammoth Shed here.
The Mammoth Shed is big, burly and completely lined with anti-con felt on the inside. This shed is ideal for keeping things safely stored away, while keeping them dry at the same time. The internal lining, coupled with the internal, angled-down vents help combat condensation like no other shed in our steel shed range. There are two sizes of Mammoth Shed available – and both are large enough for general storage needs.
This shed comes with a built-in robust polycarbonate window too, so it’ll fill with natural light. It’s an elegant, sleek looking shed but it’s made with premium materials, making it tougher than a €2 steak. Check out all the fine-details below.

The Mammoth Shed is completely lined with an anti-condensation lining on both the internal walls and on the roof. It also has built in air vents to allow air flow throughout the shed. Both the lining and vents are incredible ways to combat condensation in the Irish climate.
The Mammoth shed is uniquely equipped to combat condensation and damp. Ireland has got essentially a temperate rainforest climate and buildings are liable to condensation forming within them during the Cold months particularly,
We also recommend that you incorporate a damp-proof membrane into your base, that you regularly air out your shed and that you do not put white goods into any steel shed. You will have zero issues with condensation if these steps are followed.
The RAL Colour for the panels on this shed is RAL 110 70 10, also known as Chinese Tea Green.
The Doors, Apex, Window frame, Trims are RAL 7016 (Anthracite Grey)
The Mammoth Shed is part of our Premium Shed range, and as such the panels are covered by an 8-year rust perforation warranty.
These sheds are delivered in four boxes. The boxes are long and somewhat awkward, so they will not fit in most family-sized cars. We recommend that you bring a large van if you are collecting these sheds from our warehouse.
First off, self-assembly is not for everyone. If you struggle keeping your cool with an Ikea product, we can safely say that this is not the product for you to assemble. You will require at least two able-bodied people, a calm day, the appropriate tools and to plan ahead to make this shed correctly and efficiently.
Estimated completion time: 5-7 hours (Duration will vary depending on level of experience, etc)
DO NOT ASSEMBLE THIS SHED ON A DAY WITH HIGH-WINDS
Our Team can assemble the Mammoth shed for you if you do not wish to attempt it yourself. It generally takes them about 2 hours from start to finish. The Assembly option includes an internal wooden floor that is not included with the flatpacked option.
Please note: Shed assembly is weather permitting. High-winds or other adverse weather conditions may lead to shed assembly cancellations.
You will need a solid level base for this shed.
Appropriate bases include:
- Concrete
- Tarmac
- Paving Slabs
- Hardcore Stone
- The Sheds Direct Ireland Shed Base
This shed cannot be built onto grass, muck, pallets, incomplete or uneven bases. For more information, read ‘Good Bases for Steel Sheds’
- Please read our ‘What to expect after purchasing your shed’ guide for all information relating to delivery / assembly. Page 1 is flat-packed delivery details, page 2 is supply and fit details.
- The Pictured Wooden Floor is not included with flat-packed sheds. Ply flooring only comes with the assembly option.
- You will need a solid, level base for this shed. It cannot be laid on grass alone. Please see our guide on how to choose should you need assistance.
- Sheds are measured externally, i.e. gutter to gutter. Internal floor size will differ from external measurements.
- In very rare instances, the shed may vary +/-10% in size. This is because of the way in which steel is cut.
- Please read our FAQ if you have any other questions in mind before purchasing. Or call us at 01 864 4247 or message us on Facebook.
- If you are considering self-assembly, we recommend that you read our guide on self-assembly first. Self-Assembly is not for everyone and the stated ‘expected times’ may vary drastically depending on your ability to plan accordingly and follow instructions.
